Good morning everyone and we hope that you had a great Holiday Season and are looking forward to a blessed and positive 2010!
As for today, wow, not sure who is aware of this but our low temperatures last night fell to -16 degrees in the metro and even dropped as far as -20 in western Iowa. With the current weather conditions persisting we are seeing delays in our window and siding production schedule. Combine today's temperatures with the multiple weather events over the last month, production is attempting to re-work the production schedules appropriately.
This weeks weather forecast is not helping with 4-7" of snow expected Tuesday night through Thursday morning and severe wind and cold forecast for Thursday through Saturday. With high temperatures forecast to top out in the NEGATIVES the latter part of this week, moving forward with production will be a tedious task at best.
As always, communication between sales and production is essential as well as everyone making efforts to keep customers up to date with the situation as a result of the weather.
Good day and God Bless
