Production Update

Hello everybody out there connected to the Husker Production Network and we hope that you all are having a great morning. As a light snow again dusts the frozen tundra that once was Omaha, we are reminded again (as if we weren't already) of the unpredictability of mother nature and her mission. As always this time of year, production is working through the difficulties attributed to weather and we ask again for everyone to strive for fluid communication and foresight on all jobs.

The light snow this morning will give way this afternoon to mostly cloudy skies with the high temp leveling off to around 30 degrees. Its still looking like the bottom is set to fall out of the thermometer later this week but the weather patterns also look like they may stabilize over the short to midterm futures and should be a benefit for production schedules moving into the new year.

Production Schedule

Well, it snowed, and then it snowed some more and as a direct result of all the white stuff we have been blessed with, production is being effected and to what point we still are unsure. As we move through the next few days trying to coordinate schedules and accomodate customer demands, we will keep you all updated as needed and as more information become available.

Good morning everyone, as we approach Christmas we are looking at a significant, highly complex weather event that will begin to effect our region by late Tuesday night. We are on schedule today and through probably most of tomorrow but with precipitation chances increasing exponentially through tomorrow night the remainder of the week is looking quite interesting. Below is NOAA's latest update on the pending weather situation they have issued a Winter Storm Watch for the region:

Production Schedule Update

Good morning everyone, after a significant delay in production due to extreme weather related conditions we are looking to get back on track today. The 3 days of snow and cold that we have endured has essentially pushed the entire production schedule back accordingly. The weather does look to be steadying a bit after this latest fiasco and after a couple of small chances for freezing rain and drizzle this weekend, next week looks to be at least calm weather wise.

Partly sunny to sunny skies are forecast with temperatures holding steady in the mid to upper teens through Wednesday of next week. Long range models are showing a moderation in temperatures as we approach next Thursday with the high possibly approaching freezing (32). While these cold temps put a damper on installation efforts, we are now able to move forward at getting back on schedule.

Good morning, moving into the Monday after Thanksgiving always presents a unique set of issues to confront as we deal with the residual effects of 4 days of eating. Lathargy, hunger and brief periods of panic when we realize that its a full week this week tend to skew the beautiful reality that Christmas is right around the corner and another round of eating to our stomachs delight. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend and feel free to stop by the office and say hello.

The weather looks to remian nice today and tomorrow with highs in the 50's and approaching near 60 tomorrow. After that the ball drops and with it temperatures are expected to dive into the upper 30's for highs through the remainder of the week. Longer range forecasts are looking even more interesting moving into next week with forecasted highs topping out in the upper 20's. Lets hope the weather guessers are just that at this point, altough the grim reality of it is ever pressing towards us.

Husker Production Update

Good morning everyone, another Monday, another week and opportunity to have a good week at work and at home. Being a short week this week, it is important for everyone to remember that Judy needs all staff payroll by late morning today to allow time for processing.

The short range weather forecast is showing some variability among the 3 sources we use for weather information and with that remember any forecast from the weather guessers is just that, a guess. From what we are able to compile this morning cloudy and rather mild conditions will persist through today but will give way tonight to showers and rain that may linger through tomorrow. Much cooler temperatures will arrive over night with the rain and temps look to remain in the lower 40's through Friday.

Good morning everyone, as we move forward through the week it looks as if we are settling into a more fall like weather pattern of cool, cloudy days with a touch of sun from time to time to remind us of the lost days of summer. While the "Weather Guessers" would lead you to believe that their job is a scientific endeavour of grand design, mother nature still tends to be an elusive and quite ambiguous foe. Reliability with forecasted weather conditions is low so communication is the word and teamwork the goal while we move into the winter production season.

Production Schedule

Good morning eveyone, it looks like a little dose of reality is setting in around the Omaha Metro Area today as we are expecting temperatures to top out in the mid-40's and percipitation chances increasing as the day moves into the afternoon and evening. This weather system is expected to continue to holds these temperatures and percipitation chances through most of this week, in effect bringing us back to the reality that it is November.

Long range models are showing a break in the weather potentially for late Thursday and most of Friday with precipitation chances again increasing for the weekend. While the chance for rain or snow may decrease later this week, look for little moderation in the temperatures.

As of this morning production is moving ahead with all scheduled installations for the day and will continue to monitor the weather to make accomodations as necessary.

Production Update

Good morning to everyone out there in Husker Nation, another beautiful day in the Omaha Metro area will lead us into what looks to be an absolutely amazing weekend. Production is moving along and will close out the week on what looks to be a positive note with the help of mother nature. Production Schedule Update

Good morning everyone, this is your Production Schedule Update for Wednesday, November 4th 2009. The skies are clear and the temperature is rising and with that our ability to move through another week of production with mother natures cooperation. Long range forecasts are looking great heading into this weekend with temperatures holding steady in the mid to upper 60's with mostly sunny skies. Next week looks to be warm as well with a chance of thunderstorms and showers on the horizon for Monday and Tuesday.

While window jobs are continuing to fill the board, we are offering a deal back here in the production department for siding jobs. If you sell a siding job we can theoretically begin installation in roughly two weeks pending material availability and mother natures cooperation.

Remember, this time of year a caveat always exists; mother nature plays a giant role in installation schedules but with weather like we have this week things will keep rolling right along.

While the weather seems to be letting up a little bit in regards to the deluge of precipitation we have had the last few days, colder weather has settled in for today and is going to significantly hinder our ability to install and produce output from a production perspective. While the weekend seems to tease us with a little break from these conditions, next weeks weather looks to be similar to what we have seen the last few days. Good morning everybody, as we move through another week and make our way past the mile marker of hump day, we are on schedule and on pace to have another productive and positive week back here in production. With that said, weather could become a serious issue as we close out the week with a 50% chance of rain tomorrow and highs in the mid 50's. Friday will stay cool in the lower to mid 50's for high temps, but precipitation chances are minimal and we should be able to close out the week on a positive note.

This weekend is where it gets interesting with high temperatures in the forecast around the upper 30's to the lower 40's with rain and snow chances both days. While there is little chance to see any accumulating snow due to ground temperatures and a weak frontal system, we are going to be made very aware that fall has arrived. Long term going into the beginning of next week looks good with temperatures again falling in the mid-50's with fairly stable weather on slate for Monday and Tuesday.

Good morning everybody, as we close out one month and march onto another, we are again reminded of the change of seasons underway as we venture outside. After a night of rain, we are looking at rain chances through the end of the day (30-40% showers). With that said, rain chances increase significantly through the overnight and into tomorrow with rain likely and highs toping out somewhere in the lower to mid 50's. Cold and wet day in store for us, make plans accordingly.

Production is still on schedule as of today, but with tomorrows rain chances and overall nasty forecast, we may run into delays concerning installations. Next weeks looks to bring another round of unstable weather on Monday and Tuesday.

Your Daily Production Update

Good morning everyone, another brisk morning and another brisk start to the work day. Things are really carrying along here in production and we are working through another productive week. Looking ahead, we are on the verge of a shift in the weather pattern through the end of the week. Temps topping out in the low 70's with lots of sun on deck for today, we will see the shift occur later tonight with a 70% chance of thunderstorms. Tomorrow will bring temperatures in the mid 60's and a 50% chance of showers throughout the day. Friday is looking like a wash out with temperatures in the mid 50's and again a 50-60% chance of showers, cold and wet will be the short and sweet of it.

Either way, we are definitely moving into a more active weather pattern with precipitation chances through the next few weeks on the increase and temperatures beginning to decrease to levels we have not seen since March and April of this year. Timing and scheduling related to production will be finicky throughout this period and as always, communication will be essential to success.

Tuesday's Production Update

Good morning everyone out there in the wonderful world of Husker Nation. Ill keep this short and simple since most production information was conveyed through our staff meeting this morning.

We are looking at highs in upper 60's and lower 70's over the next couple of days leading into increased rain chances and much lower high temperatures towards the end of the week and through the weekend. A series of cold fronts advancing on us from the north will make it difficult temperatures to break the 60 degree barrier Friday and Saturday. Long term models are forecasting mid to upper 60's with plenty of sun for the beginning of next week.

Production Network Update 9/28

As we begin to turn the page to the wonderful month of October, we are reminded of the change of seasons that is underway with every step outside. As we move into the fall season, it is important to remember that the weather will again begin to play a significant role in scheduling and installation demands as we move deeper into the year.

With cool temperatures topping out in the 60's today and tomorrow, we will be greeted by a blustery 70 degree day on Wednesday before the bottom falls out towards the end of the week. A strong chance of showers and storms on Thursday will bring much cooler and damper weather for the end of the week and into the weekend. Highs in the upper 50's to lower 60's are possible and rain chances exist Thursday through Sunday. Fall has definitely arrived and the long term outlook past the end of this week is for even cooler temperatures filtering in from the north by mid-week next week.

Production Schedule Update 9/21/09

Good morning everyone, another Monday, another week and yet another opportunity to make an impact on the forward momentum of our company. With the passing of the weekend, we are also on the verge of passing summer into fall tomorrow with the Fall equinox. Cooler temperatures and rain forecasted through early to midweek will keep production busy accommodating installation schedules and customer demands for the near future. Longer term forecasts are showing steady highs in the lower to mid 70's with a slight chance of rain towards the end of the week. Overall a favorable forecast for production and hopefully a trend that continues through the fall.

Regardless, Fall has arrived and with it the opportunity to finish the year strong and set us up for a dynamite 2010.

Good morning everybody, we have finally reached Friday and with that yet another week down and looking forward to another productive week next week. Good morning everyone, as we roll through another week like Mike rolls through a box of cheddar fish, we have reached the crest of the week, the hump-day, the venerable land on the horizon after a long, difficult journey through rough seas and troubled waters. Husker Production Update 8/27

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, as we approach the 11th hour we wanted to take a moment to keep you all updated on our production schedule and some revisions that we have made to it. As a result of losing a crew, having to accomodate the flub in the scheduele as a result of losing that crew and also trying to finish out the New Husker Office Facades, we are now looking at a 6-7 week production schedule for siding and windows.

Aside from the deluge of water and a cool and damp start this morning, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the the weather to break this afternoon and carry us through the weekend. Highs in the upper 70's and lower 80's with minimal percipitation chances are expected for our glorious exodus into our new facilities over the next few days. Finally, Friday; and with that another glorious week at Husker down the drain and into the septic system. Pessimism aside, it was another productive week in the Production department despite rain on Wednesday and a few pop up showers yesterday afternoon. Not exactly sure what mother nature has been up to these last few days but she has either decided to take a few days off from her annual late summer cooking of the northern hemisphere or she feels that fall needs to start a month early this year.
